Labor Only Photo Album: Labor Only Services in a 55+ Community, in Franklin, TN

Our customer had moved out from the West Coast and had all of her possessions in a collection of three PODS (portable on-demand storage). They were to be delivered to her community, just outside her townhome, on a Thursday, and she needed onsite labor assistance to unload the contents of the PODS into her home. There were a few key factors to consider: 1) she had a baby grand piano that had belonged to her mother that was in one of the PODS and needed to be setup in her new home, 2) there was a roughly 600 lb gun safe that needed to be brought in to her home from a POD, and 3) she had a very large entertainment center that consisted of two very large, solid wood pieces. Of course, she had many other things, including boxes of clothes, shoes, files, luggage, kitchen table and chairs, living room furniture, bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, and many other things you would expect a person might move with them from one home to another. Because of the nature of those three key pieces, particularly the baby grand piano and the large entertainment center, we decided to have two crews onsite to assist with the labor, cut the duration of the work in half, and have enough people available to help move and setup the baby grand piano and the entertainment center. We were especially careful with the baby grand piano, in part due to the sentimental value the piano had for our customer, as we moved it into the rough area it would be finally positioned, setup the piano, and then tweaked its position according to our customer's preferences. As you can see in the pictures, the baby grand piano is a beautiful piece! We got the gun safe in place, and we also got the large entertainment center in place. We helped our customer put as many of the boxes and other things that would require unpacking in the correct room in the house, unless there was just not space, and then we used one of the rooms for the overflow so that she would have space to work on unpacking her things and getting settled in, throughout the rest of her home. The dining room table and chairs are in place, the china hutch is in place, and the baby grand piano are in place. There are also a number of other pieces of furniture, boxes, and other things moved in to these rooms, based on where they expect to be used once they are unpacked.

We moved one of the beds into the downstairs guest bedroom, but there were too many things for us to setup up the bed, yet. We also moved a bed to the upstairs guest bedroom (not pictured), along with some other items.

We setup the baby grand piano exactly where our customer wanted it, once we reassembled the baby grand piano from its state in the POD. Once that was done, then we were able to unload a number of other boxes, furniture, and other items into this room to empty the PODS and allow our customer to unpack and get settled in to her new home.
